How You Can Become the Mentor the Next Generation Needs

Mentorship begins when you understand that your life is already teaching someone, whether you intentionally mentor them or not. As a mentor, people are watching how you handle pressure, relationships, money, disappointment, success, ministry and responsibility. Paul instructed Titus to show himself “a pattern of good works” (Titus 2:7). This means your greatest mentoring tool is not merely what you say but what you consistently demonstrate. The next generation does not only need information from you; they need a godly example they can observe and learn from. If someone followed your lifestyle for the next five years, what kind of person would they become?
